Chapter 8: Vendor Hunt & Shopping Galore Part II

Writer's picture: FaB ClaFaB Cla

Part 2 of my Divisoria and Shopee shopping haul. I also included some of our online purchases from Facebook and/or IG.

Divisoria:

1st photo from the upper left was how we gave away our fan favors and shades (2nd photo upper mid). The pouches were php7 ea, and the shades just around php26 ea. The third photo with Father Daughter written was bought from The Entourage PH. I used this with my dad for our Father-Daughter dance. 4th photo was the coral bowties for our Ninongs to match the coral gowns of our Ninangs. 5th photo with Php60+ suspenders were for the best man, groomsmen and bearers. Lastly, the grey and peach slipper for me and my girls were also bought from Divi for just Php100 ea. I figured this was a more practical choice than buying custom room/hotel slippers for preps.

For the women's bags, the left one was bought from Shopee and was supposed to be used for Ninangs but we did not push it as they did not really matched with the gown. We also felt it looked too cheap (for them). We found better clutches (also from Shopee) later below. The right rattan bag was used by my MOH and bridesmaids. Each costed P800 if I remembered correctly. Good quality!

So where to place all the gifts for the sponsors, the bridesmaids and groomsmen? In a well secured box packaging. Since it's a destination wedding and we would be having all these gifts shipped by cargo, I already had to pre-pack everything before so it would be easier to distribute on the day. I also wanted the box to be of good taste and presentable, so I chose the more expensive option: sturdy kraft boxes. I think it was around Php100 ea. Those white fillers? I just cut them off of crepe papers.

Shopee:

For Tinghuns, chocolate coins were usually used as one of the items and props needed for the ceremony and showcase traditions as it symbolized luck for wealth. I wanted something different but would also symbolize wealth, and was very happy to find this at Shopee! It's the ancient Chinese coin, but still chocolate and wrapped in gold. If I remember correctly, it's about P350 per pack. Tasted good too!

This was the new Ninangs' bag I was talking about that would match perfectly with their coral gowns. We splurged on this a bit since they were our beloved Ninangs! It's around PhP2000+ ea, packaged and delivered as such in the right photo. Excellent quality.

Bought around 200pcs of this bubble blowers to be used by our guests upon our exit at the ceremony. It's only about Php4 ea. I also bought the bubble solutions from Shopee as well. The coordinators were again, generous enough to offer help in filling each tube the day before the wedding, since of course these were shipped empty to Coron to avoid spillage.

These boxes of jams were one of our gifts to our principal sponsors. I was hesitant since the price was really cheap, just Php150 per box. But when I received them, they were packaged securely and all were in pristine condition. Based on the reviews, they also tasted great!

For the first picture of the peach roses, there were a lot of these in Divi but I find the prices still higher than expected. I had a hunch I could find lower somewhere. Lo and behold, I found it in Shopee, for just P74 for the whole pack already (144 pieces). The second photo shows the craft starfish that I definitely did not expect to find in Shopee as well. It was just P96, and certainly hard to look for outside! The last photo were the combs with name engraving as one of the gifts for our bridesmaids and groomsmen. Can't recall the amount but I'm sure it was pretty reasonably priced.

Other Online Shopping:

More groomsmen gifts! For the stainless flasks we ordered these from SamEricka's Printing and Gen. Mdse. Very accommodating and friendly seller here! Only Php280 ea flask w/ print and packed nicely. The second photo were authentic leather passport covers with engraving from Leather Manila, also with box and packed like this for just Php980 ea.

The robes above were from SHOPPERSONALIZED BY:jaemieann. There were a lot of shops selling robes even in Divi and Shopee but again, I wanted a bit of a twist. So, I searched high and low to find affordable ready printed robes and managed to find this shop. She's an accommodating seller and her robes were excellent quality. Blues were for my girls and the mocha ones were for our moms. Robes were Php400 ea including the embroidery. My girls loved them!

Another gift for my girls (yes, I spoiled them) and for myself were these very personal charm locket necklaces from Charmed Life. The seller was generally friendly, though she would took some time before replying to concerns (busy woman). Nonetheless, still a smooth transaction. Note though that not all her posted charms are available all the time and they tend to sell out without replenishing. So I also had to compromise for my other initially chosen charms. Don't fret as there are so many to choose from. Very very excellent quality! The stainless she used will last a lifetime. My girls were most touched with this gift. Each locket totaled to Php1680. The price entirely depends on the style of the locket, # of charms and the type of chain you chose.

My ceremony accessories! I think you may know me by now. I love steering away from the usual, so of course I also strived to make our special mementos extra special. I found a reliable supplier, Tela at Moda, also known for their infinity dresses. (I can't put a link to them as their FB seemed deactivated.) I just sent them my desired peg and color motif, and she did the rest! All complete custom accessories were Php 5320 including shipping. The 2-toned unity coins on the other hand was bought from The Wedding Library at SM Megamall.

I bought these 2 bridal hair accessories from Halo Bridal PH. I was attracted to the photos as well as the good feedback from their clients. I can't seem to decide which (and I might also use both?) so I just bought them both! The one on the left is a regular clip for buns costed Php999 while the dainty hair vine on the right costed Php1299. Smooth transaction and friendly seller too!

This was my most adventurous purchase! I never thought I'd actually buy the actual peg of a bridal robe I had in IG. I loved this deign because it's so dramatic, perfect for the wind! Plus, it looked very customized. This came all the way from Nigeria! Got it from Event Starters, also through IG. I really searched and verified the supplier, read all client reviews and convinced myself she's a pro and I will not be a victim of scam. I still knew there was a risk, but I took it anyway. The hard part was the payment. The currency's different and no money senders like Western Union can make it possible to that country. Paypal was also unavailable in Nigeria. Bank charges to pay to that country would cost me so much, it won't be worth it at all. Thankfully, I found Transferwise. I paid via credit card, and they will do the bank transfer to the receiver. The big plus? Low conversion rate! I got the robe (including the inner slip) after about a month and a half through DHL. Really really excellent quality. Loved it at first sight. Thank God for a successful transaction! Funny thing was, the seller loved me too! She said I was her first "white" customer. Haha. The robe with inner costed just around Php4000, and the shipping around Php4000 as well. I don't know about you, but as for me, for this gorgeous robe, it was all worth it! I'll post my prep photos with this robe soon.

More info on other items will come as I write the next chapters.
